Jon Paul Partee • Partner & Brewer

Jon Paul grew up on the family farm. Being the second child of four, he felt the need to leave the nest and make his own way in the world. Jon Paul got his electrical engineering degree from RIT, officially earning him his geek status. After spreading his wings and working as an electrical engineer in Virginia for many years, he and his wife Beth moved back to NY after the birth of their second child in order to be closer to family.

In 2007, his wife surprised him with a home brewing kit for Christmas. Little did they know then that this would start a chain of events that would lead him back home to Seneca Falls where they have lived since 2013. Back in his hometown, he was able to start growing his own hops, starting Fleur De Lis Hop Yards. With hop yards planted, and a little push from an industry friend to think bigger, Jon Paul, his wife, brother and sister-in-law dreamed of opening their own farm brewery – serving beer with estate grown hops and the best local ingredients that can be found!

Though still an engineer by day, his nights and weekends are spent fulfilling his passion – making the best beer for you to enjoy. Stop by, share a pint with him, and have him give you a tour of the brewery!

Beth Partee • Partner

After graduating from Clarkson University, Beth moved to Northern Virginia and went on to conquer the business world as an IT project manager. As if that wasn’t enough, she then decided to take on a whole new challenge, raising two daughters! Hanging up her business suit, she began tackling car pools, girls scouts, dance competitions, etc…

In early 2013, Beth and her husband, Jon Paul, decided to move to a farm in Seneca Falls (her husband’s hometown). With the passing of the NYS Farm Brewing Law, Beth and her husband immediately decided to start growing their own hops – giving birth to Fleur De Lis Hop Yards. However, in 2014, Beth and Jon Paul started dreaming bigger – beginning the plans to open their own farm brewery. Fast forward to 2016, and Beth and Jon Paul partnered with their brother and sister-in-law to make all their dreams a reality. This is a true family partnership – the four of us together bringing a strong heritage of farming, service and business acumen to the craft brewing industry!

You will find Beth heading up the tasting room at Fleur De Lis Brew Works. With her many years of management and customer service experience, as well as her thirst for additional knowledge of the craft beer industry, she is excited to offer the best possible beer experience for our guests at Fleur De Lis Brew Works!

Craig Partee • Partner

“I never dreamed about success. I worked for it.”

Craig Partee learned the value of quality workmanship at a young age. This was initiated growing up on the family farm where he learned from his parents to be a good steward of the land, raising crops & beef cattle. He found out quickly that cutting corners is not the path to success. Craig started working away from the farm at a young age where his mentor reinforced lessons that smart land management leads to high quality results. He also learned mantras of “do it right the first time” and “stay until the work is done.” These lessons instilled at a young age demonstrate the pride Craig has in his work today.

Craig took advantage of his keen eye for high quality to become a successful business owner. Since 1990, he has grown Fleur De Lis Construction to a well respected construction company. Utilizing those talents & skills he developed & improved FDLBW’s brewing facilities, craft beer parlour and beer garden.

Craig brings a strong work ethic to every project including the brewery. His primary focus will be outside distribution, assistant to the brewer, Jon Paul, & property maintenance. You can be certain that the quality workmanship in building carries over to quality craft beer. Craig believes that the customer should never be final quality control, instead there are check points at each step of the brewing process from mash to pint.

Life with Craig isn’t all about work. He commits that FDLBW customers should have a pleasurable, memorable experience in the beer garden or at the brew parlour. The craft beer drinker’s enjoyment of his labor is just another measure of success.

Craig’s favorite craft beers are dark, aged & high gravity. FDLBW’s customers can be certain Jon Paul will rotate Craig’s favorite through the brew & distribution schedule. He may even enjoy a sip or two while keeping the lawn mowed & hops trellised.

Stop by for a pint, visit with Craig and give him a well-deserved break!!

Jennifer Partee • Partner

Here’s to craft beer and health!

Jennifer Partee made a calculated decision with her husband to join the craft beer movement in upstate New York.

In 2009, Jennifer pulled her upstate New York roots and moved to Daytona Beach to pursue her dream nursing job where she provides medical event logistics for a sports entertainment company.

What she didn’t realize was that not only did she uproot her life but also her preferred alcoholic beverage! Florida’s wine region is not conducive to vinting the typical Finger Lakes white wines. As a compromise, she developed a taste for beer that evolved (thankfully!) to craft beer.

Appreciating the Florida craft beer movement and promoting good health through nursing progressed to creating Fleur De Lis Brew Works. The Partee’s upstate New York homestead was a natural fit for a craft brewery focusing on locally sourced ingredients as a farm brewery. Joining with her brother- and sister-in-laws, their brewery is a family partnership.

Because life isn’t about craft beer alone, Jennifer continues her day job as a registered nurse. She also enjoys baking and gardening during the rest of her free time.
